Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez hled Africa Day celebrations in Havana. The celebrations brought together African diplomats stationed in the island nation. Uganda was represented at the celebrations by Ambassador Elizabeth Musaaz

The National Resistance Movement party (NRM) Secretary-General, Rt Hon. Richard Todwong today Tuesday morning held talks with the new Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Uganda, H.E Tania Perez Xiques.

At about 9:00 am, Rt.Hon.Todwong together with H.E Elizabeth Musaazi, Uganda’s Ambassador-designate to Cuba as well as the Director in charge of the Diaspora at NRM, (Rtd) Maj Awich Pola welcomed the Cuban representative to Uganda at the NRM party head offices in Nakasero, Kampala, Uganda.

Uganda's High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, also accredited to other ECOWAS Member States and Equatorial Guinea, Ambassador Ocheger Nelson, has arrived at Abuja to take up his post. This follows the meeting he attended recently at State House Entebbe in which His Excellency, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni briefed the newly appointed envoys on what the country expected from them.
