Today, 8th November 2024, Mr. Madaraka Nyerere, Chairman of Culture and Development East Africa, and son of the late Mwalimu Julius Nyerere (former President of the United Republic of Tanzania), paid a courtesy call to Uganda Embassy, Havana. 
He was in the company of Dr. Kisembo Ronex Tendo Group CEO of Afrika Mashariki Feist. The two were received by H.E Amb Elizabeth Sylvia Musazi, Uganda's Ambassador to Cuba. Mr. Madaraka and Dr. Kisembo were part of the delegation visiting Cuba for the " Kongamano la Kimataifa la Kiswahili International Conference " organized by the governments of  Tanzania and Cuba to promote Kiswahili language. The conference which was supposed to be opened by H.E Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of Tanzania is currently being held at Gran Muthu Habana Hotel, Cuba

The Delegation  also participated in the unveiling of the mwalimu Julius Nyereres statue at the Heros' park in Havana.
